My print screen dont work

I have a HP computer windows xp pro. When I try and hit print screen nothing happens

After you hit Print Screen you have to open Paint and Then click on Edit then Paste

Or you can paste the image into any application that is more advanced than MS Paint, which you use for editing graphics.

In the good 'ol days Print Scrn would print to the printer.

Print Screen = Copy to Windows Clipboard

Alt+Print Scrn gets you just the current (in focus) window.

If you have a HP laptop you have to hold the "fn" key down and then the print screen key.

Instead of using prtscn, then pasting to Paint you could use a capture utility.
I use Screenhunter.
