I have been trying to solve this problem with no success.
While using the tpouchpad, the pointer occasionally locks ups and control will not returned unless I power down and restart the computer.

Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?
How can I retore control of the pointer without powering down the computer and restarting it?

Any help wpould be greatly appreciated.

I would try uninstalling/removing the drivers (using Device Manager) for the pointing device...rebooting and letting them install again. Current ones could be damaged.
