Laptop Wont Start

I replaced a keyboard on my laptop after this i will not turn on. Ive tried everything i can think of i put the old keyboard, i instated a new cable from the power button to the motherboard and have replaced my ac adapter still the computer will not turn on. NO sounds come from the computer. the outlet where i plug the ac adapter will light up however. any other suggestions would be appreciated. My computer is an HP Pavillion 6000 series.

I'm no pro at these things, but have you checked the contact points where the battery plugs in? Or is your battery even removable?


I may be 13 but I've got a rare condition of the smarts.
