What i am seeing is that when i use a search engine, the search result links, when clicked, will redirect me to advertisement sites and the like. I can go to any site when i type it in the address bar but not when i click the links in search engines. I have tried all major search engines, and i have done this in IE7 and in firefox. I have run malware bytes, ad-aware, used ccleaner, and also run trend mciro antivirus. Nothing has found the source of this problem, nor corrected it. My Hijackthis log is as followed.

Hello mafiastyle87,

Please disable Ad-Watch, as it may hinder the removal of some HijackThis entries. You can re-enable it after your computer is clean.

To disable Ad-Watch:

1. Right click on the Ad-Watch icon in the system tray and select "Restore Ad-Watch".
2. At the bottom of the screen there will be two checkable items called "Active" and "Automatic".Active: Switches Monitoring On or Off without closing
Automatic: Switches Automatic Blocking On or Off
3. Uncheck (red X) both items.

This tool is not a toy. If used the wrong way you could trash your computer. Please use only under direction of a Helper. If you decide to do so anyway, please do not blame me or ComboFix.

1. Download this file - combofix.exe
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply please, along with a new HijackThis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.

If ComboFix will not run the first time, then rename ComboFix.exe to mafiastyle.exe and try it again. :thumbup2:

Thanks,
tea
