Hey all. I'll been reading this forum for days now. I found this site and couple other sites while looking for info on the Spynet virus. I've been trying to fix it on my own to no avail. I build my own PC's and I'm pretty techie but this is proving too difficult. I'm the type that if something is broken then I'll go read some books and research on trying to fix it. I grew up in a hosold where I was carrying shingles at 8 years old helping my father build the house. So I was always pretty creative and into problem solving. I don't normally have a problem with viruses. I'm not one of those people who has stacks of viruses from looking at bad porn sites or doesn't surf with a rubber (Firewall, Antivirus, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, etc.) lol.

I didn't want to bother anyone and I usually would resort to just reformatting but I've worked up some tension and really want to kill this problem. I finally registered. I see others have similar problems as me with having search engines redirect to ads. I've tried so hard to get rid of it but it keeps reinstalling itself from what I see. I'll post info on that in the correct forum soon. I've written some notes on what's been happening.

Thanks in advance for reading.
