need help asap (can't turn on system restore)

how do i turn on system restore?

Control Panel>System> System restore tab. all of the properties for it are under there

or you might have turned it off(or someone else) in the services section. If that is the case doing the above wont work. Click start, click on run type in Msconfig, and there will be some tabs, click services, find system restore and make sure the box is checked.

Or if you go to Run and type "Msconfig" there's a tab that says "Launch System Restore"

but if it is turned off in the servic again it wont turn it on!
