I recently saw my PC running Windows 7 (Build 7057) lagging horribly. When I checked the system monitor the CPU was being maxed out every 3 seconds by a program called bungo659.exe that had several copies of itself running at the same time. I couldn't use the "stop process" command on any of the instances of the program because the option was greyed out. After a simple search of my "C" drive I found the bastige hiding in "C:/Program Files/Common Files/bugoilen" and was able to simply delete the file to halt the offensive behavior.

I found a Google hit on the name of the program at this site in a log of someone's computer activity.

The file is there in the log but was never addressed and the topic is now closed. They simply formatted and reinstalled Windows without any further investigation. Does anyone have information on this malware? Could you tell me how it got in my computer and weather it has any friends that will rear their salivating heads? Or perhaps you could direct me to another reliable site for reporting malware that might be able to help me?

I just thought it was odd that I couldn't find any solid info searching google, bing, or yahoo. Only sales pitches for Cyberdefender. I found another hit on Yahoo but it's a french site. Rosetta Stone here I come.

Thank you.

P.S. This is my first post, but I've used the site many times in the past.

You will need to run HJT/DDS.
