I previously had ESET NOD32 Business Edition on my computer, but I switched to the Antivirus one. But now the problem is it says my trial ended, and I cant seem to enter a new username and password. If I click on Upgrade to full version, after about 5 seconds a message comes saying that "Updating to full version failed"

What am I suppose to do?

I believe you can only use either of their products for trial for 30 days.

Meaning, if you switch to a different version, the trial period doesn't
start over.

At this point, I think you'd have to uninstall the software and buy
the full version of your choice.

On a side note, Windows Security Essentials is available right now
for free.

Instead you should be calling ESet LLC.
If you have legally obtained username password you can call them and ask for explanation.

The OP stated he's using Trial software.

There' no support for trial versions.

It's time to purchase a username and password.

Yes the picture says you are using trial version. You cannot input username/password in the trial version.

Goto E-Set web site to download full registered version:
http://www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php

When you click on the download link, it will ask for username and password, enter your username and password.

When downloaded, install and user your username and password.
