I recently updated my AVG Server Edition from version 7 to version 8 (Win Server 2003). When the scheduled scan runs, after about 20 minutes the screen goes black with a flashing cursor in the top left corner. The only way to proceed is to reboot the server. The scan is scheduled for 4 AM so no one is in the office and nothing else is running on the server (Windows Defender runs at 8 PM and the nightly backup is finished by 2 AM). Nothing shows up in the Event Viewer. I talked to my vendor about this; he installed version 8 on a test server in his shop and the same thing is happening to him. Both of us have tried contacting AVG about this but without any results. Is anyone else having this problem? If you have had the problem and found a solution, would you share it please? Thanks!
