I unfortunately installed a koobface infected file to my computer. I realized immediately that it was infected and deleted it, and then deleted it again from the 'Recycle Bin'. I then ran 3 McAfee virus scans and they came up clean. I thought everything was okay and good to go. It wasn't. I couldn't access my Facebook account and the lovely pop-ups that come with Koobface continued. I then did some research and installed the latest version of Avast! and ran a full computer scan. I deleted all the infected files it came up with. I tried to access my Facebook account and still couldn't, along with the pop-ups continuing. If anyone knows how I can fix this, it would be greatly aprecciated.

As no logs have been posted, I am shifting this topic from the specialized HiJack This forum to the Am I Infected forum. I'm also deleting the duplicate post you made, possibly unknowingly.

==>PLEASE DO NOT NOW POST LOGS<== unless a log is specifically requested.

Please describe the pop-ups you are having? Are they advertising? If so what? You may wish to provide screen-shots. Are you experiencing redirections? If so, to what kinds of sites? Note: Please do not post live links. Change the http part to hxxp.

the pop-up link is hxxp://92.38.0/69:6000/redirect which redirected to either an online chat advertisement or an ad for a fake virus scan but it's blocked now so the pop-ups are ok. I think I got rid of all the Koobface malware since I can get to my account now. It should be safe to close this thread since it's fixed.
PS: Sorry about the double post, I tried to delete it after I realized i had 2 in my number of posts spot.
