I am running XP Home, SP2 with updates or an old P4 (3.2) system and have run into a problem with my graphics. Also running latest ATI drivers on a 4550 card.

What I am getting is very often when I have a IE8 session onen and also open a window for Outlook 2007, everything will be fine until I try to switch between windows, close one of the programs, or add another tab to IE.

Then the windows will MERGE, what I mean is that the Outlook WINDOW will close, but the graphics IN that window will now be in the IE8 Window.

I have tried re-installing the graphics drivers, etc. Also, very ofter I cannot get the IE8 to shut down, even with CNTR-ALT-DEL, I'll just end up with several open. When they finally DO close, after a while it will try to send an error reort to MS, several times (once for each shutdown tried.)

Sometimes I just have to kill the system by switching it off when it hangs.

Any ideas?
