Earlier today I was contacted by my ISP (Rogers Cable) and they told me that my computer was infected with some kind of infection that was spamming thier network (or something along those lines). I was told to install RuBotted (by Trend Micro). Nothing showed up for a while, and in the mean time I ran every mal-ware/anti virus program I had (all recently updated). I ran AVG; (which runs every night anyways), Spybot, Adaware, and Trend Micro's HouseCall. Spybot and AVG came up which a whole bunch of tracking cookies, which I removed, but thats it. However, about two hours ago Rubotted popped up saying it had found a bot (Detected DNS query of malicious domain). I reran AVG and HouseCall, and they turned up a few more tracking cookies, and thats it, As far as I can tell the bot hasn't been removed, as RuBotted is still popping up with messages.
Basically I am asking for help/suggestions that would help me remove this bot. (I would like to avoid re-formatting if possible)
Let me know if you need any additional logs/information from me. Any help would be appreciated.
edit: I am using windows XP
