Hi,

I was led here by a problem on my Vista PC. Internet searches on my PC are redirected by some melware to unwanted websites.

I used to be an UNIX and NT system administrator. I then did some software coding for several years before becoming a full-time staying home mom. I keep my home PC network running by not installing freeware or shareware for years. Now my kids started exploring different social network and installing stuff. I am not familiar with social network websites. Need a lot of info to maintain the small home network running smoothly. Looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.

Welcome to BC Wendy,

I'm not sure if I should open a new topic or contiue posting under some existing topics.

Generally, you should post a new topic for your own computer issues as every computer is unique in its set up and so forth, so you did the right thing there by posting afresh. :flowers: Hang in there, it will likely be a while, possibly over a week, before you get a response because of the sheer numbers of folks needing assistance.

You may wish to peruse the New User Orientation forum which will provide a lot of clues about getting around this huge site.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers,

Orange Blossom
