Hello Nikas & Welcome to BC!

Hopefully, this tutorial will guide you through what you are looking to do.

If it does not, post back with any questions you may have on the subject.

How To Install A Simple Two-PC File- & Printer-Sharing Network

Is there a particular reason you've not upgraded your desktop system to SP2?
Though this should not preclude file sharing.

regards,
Koan

OK, Nikas,

I would update to the SP2 for the desktop soon as it keeps your system more secure.

See the BC tutorial about that also.
