Windows update

I have had a virus, which i think I have now got rid of but the windows updater will not work. Any ideas?

You can try Windows Update Troubleshooter, http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/

If you think you got rid of it, lets make sure that you can be 100% sure that you did. Please run a quick scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and post its log. You can get it from here http://www.malwarebytes.org.
