Well I was on wikipedia and next thing I know whilst playing a game I see a tab (glowing orange) saying powerscannerv2... I clicked on it to shut it down and it came up saying i was infected and had my ip and town... Quite scary BUT it was in my Ie7 tab so that doesn't mean it was in my system at the time right? Well anyone got any tips? I've done a full and quick scan with MBAM and Nis2009. Did a quick scan with SAS Free only Cookies came up nothing else. Thanks for reading

If nothing shows up with Norton, MBAM, or SAS, you're most likely clean. Download SpyBot: Search & Destroy and run a scan with it. I've found that 4 different spyware scanners that come up clean always makes me feel better.

Be sure to boot into safe mode when running SAS. Its written to work best in safe mode.

Hello, please run this next. Preferably before SAS. If you have Spybot installed temporarily disable it.
Next run ATF:
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune & save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All.
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
  • If you use Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
  • If you use Opera browser click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
  • Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Note: On Vista, "Windows Temp" is disabled. To empty "Windows Temp" ATF-Cleaner must be "Run as an Administrator".
