Dual Monitor Problem

Recently i hooked up my lap top to my Samsung LCD tv with an DVI Cable, everthing worked fine untill i mirrored the image from the laptop image to my Tv and then shut the lid on the laptop and used the Tv as the monitor. for some reason now my TV is set to be the default Monitor and my Laptop screen is seen as a generic monitor, and i cant change it back, please help :huh:

I would give system restore back to a date before this happened a try.

Post the make and model of the laptop.
Do you have SP1 installed?

Looking at your specs at Toshiba you have the ATI Radeon 3100 graphics?
You can't change the settings in the ATI Catalyst Control Center under display management or video settings?
.

it doesnt work, that just helps with mirroring or extending
