It happened after I clicked a notification on Facebook.

[Name] sent you a voice message! Click HERE to listen your voice message!

I kinda freaked out because it showed an unexpected message and I started googling what was that. (using Fire Fox3)

The Message was:

You don't have any messages. Do not click links that tell who that you can see profiles that visited you, Facebook does not allow that.

(not accurate but mainly that's it. I closed it immediately)

I removed that 'app' immediately and removed that guy from my list who sent it to me (also blocked).
_________

My problem is, the font color of the URL(s) on the results page suddenly changed from the usual dark green to a very light green. I checked if google changed it by doing a search on IE8, it was the usual green.

I also tested other search sites and they were normal. (FF3)

What I did next was update Spybot S&D and additional immunizations were done.

I turned off the router for a while (I'm paranoid like that). and did a scan with malware bytes (no infections)

When I came back to use FF3, the colors were normal again.

So do you guys think it's and infection or I'm just paranoid?

thx.

EDIT: did what boopme suggested below.

If all scans were clean. I'd think it a glitch.. If you are not secure in that then post an HJT log requesting a not sure if Clean.

Please follow this guide. Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Hijackthis. Then go here HijackThis Logs and Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal ,click New Topic, give it a relevant Title and post that complete log.

Let me know if it went OK.

Hello,

Now that you have posted a log here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/233297/not-sure-if-system-is-clean/ you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond. Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.
