Recently, my computer has decided to occasionally crash out to a BSOD after boot up. It will do it maybe twice in a row and then things will be fine. I tried to run Windows Update and when I did -- BSOD!

How can I find out what is causing it? Is this something that may require a complete reinstall? Jeez I hope not!

Can you please post the BSOD error message including the numbers.
