ps3 and laptop

ok. i have a laptop that can detect wifi very easily, and my ps3 can do the same but it doesnt have the range like the laptop. can i pick up WiFi on my laptop then somehow transfer it to the Ps3 and make it have internet? also can i do this with a Wii? wat would i need to do this
