my lap to screen is always black and wont work

Is this the same laptop that you posted about in Am I Infected?
Are there any lights on or fan(s) spinning?

Have you tried an External monitor? What kind of laptop is this?

yes my fans run and lights will show up and it is an hp pavilloin dv6000 and the external moniter wont work

Sounds like its your graphics adapter. On laptops they're integrated with the motherboard. Time for a new board. They look to be anywhere from 130 to 200+.
