does anyone know how to remove this avgold "Warning" message

More details:
When I sign on to my PC and it takes me to the windows screen, a message populates and remains.

It says: Secure yourself right now
remove all spyware from your PC

then you click on removal instructions and it takes you to www.antivirus.gold

The reason I signed into bleeping computer.com was when you go to google and put in avgold this site seems to know how to clean it up.
