Help on RAM.

I have a question. I have a 256MB DDR2 SDRAM at 400MHz (1x256M)
so if i get a 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200). Would i be able to put them together in my comp.?

yes you would have 768 megabytes of 400mhz ram all running at one speed.
Thats compatible.

Wait. Did you say you have DDR2 memory? I would only get DDR2 memory to compliment.

This much I know.

Remember, memory only goes as fast as the slowest memory.

My rule of thumb goes like this,"Match your memory"!

If you decide on 2GB of memory, save up and buy two top quality 1GB sticks.

I have learned the hard way and it sucks. Buy top quality first, then complain.
