SpyBot's S&D amongst other malware and AV programmes stopped working after my daughter infected our PC.

It was only renaming the SpyBot S&D download [to my clean lap top] renaming it and installing on the infected PC also renaming the files, directory and exe file that it would finally work [though I could still use the update programmes] :inlove: I had spent many days and hours on this problem :trumpet:

Only Panda Security online found, but was unable to disinfect which I thought was the problem file.

W32/TDSS.BF.worm Virus/Worm globalroot\systemroot\system32\gxvxcvvrjikhbmuirqpladedoghxwswvwkrwx.dll

This was being blocked by Spyware Terminator but it could not remove the files.

 Anyway SpyBot has found three instances of the W32/TDSS.BF.worm plus one of Vundo and removed them all. :flowers:

Is there any reason why I can not keep the programme files, directories and exe permantly changed, and would this give me greater protection from similar threats again?
