Hi,

I have been facing this problem for a while now. The audio stops working suddenly, and then it gets restored after some time. The time usually varies, however, when I restart the computer, the audio starts working again.

I am unable to find any method online to fix it, the available methods help fix problems where the audio completely stops working. But, that is not the case.

The audio service is working -

C:\WINDOWS>sc query audiosrv

SERVICE_NAME: audiosrv
TYPE : 20 WIN32_SHARE_PROCESS
STATE : 4 RUNNING
(STOPPABLE,NOT_PAUSABLE,IGNORES_SHUTDOWN)
WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0x0

However, currently, audio does not work.

Please help me fix this problem.

Thanks and regards,
Kiran

Havr you tried completly uninstalling the sound device in the Device Manager, restarting, & letting it reinstall ?

Have you tried going to the manufacturers website , downloading the newest drivers & installing them ?

Have you tried running the disk checker with the fix options checked ?
