It's a short entangled story. It's about a nontechy in pursuit of a simple solution (that ain't surfaced so far) for a new HP laptop Vista OS nightmare-of-a-boot up problem. It's about an undeterred user's disappointing and disarming journey through the badlands of hardware and software manufacturer online and live cs technical support chitchat rooms. And it's about a walk down a frustratingly solutionless trail of OS recovery file, .torrent file, and Microsoft W AIK kit downloads and DVD burns before finally reaching hopefully the omnificent "source" for all PC things fixable -- BC Com!
