Several programs are telling me that my machine is unstable.

It has been in and out of the shop since February under extended warranty and has had RAM, hard drive and CPU replaced.

CPU-Z shows the multiplier flicking between 12 and 15, giving me 2.4GHz and 3GHz.
MB is an Asterope RC400 with Intel 3GHz dual core.

Any idea of what fault would cause this?

Cheers.

With all those replacements...I would have looked at the PSU as a possible root cause.

Hi Louis

I replaced the PSU about Christmas with a new Corsair 450W to run a replacement 8600GT in lieu of the supplied 7500LE.

Cheers, Rob

FWIW, reference: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...product=3264494

It's under warranty, let HP sort it out or replace until it works.

<<Several programs are telling me that my machine is unstable.>>

What might these programs be? If the message doesn't come from Windows, I question its value.

Louis
