I lost 1/2 of my internet Explorer history. Is it possible to get it back with a recovery program? Dell Dimention E521 W XP Pro SP3 IE 6 2.7Gig speed 4 Gig mem. 1.1 T HDD.
Internet Explorer Browser history in folders and in the left pane on home page.

Are you sure you are not referring to your Favorites folder?

No, It was the dropdown web site list.(Date,Site,Most Visited,Order visited today) The Explorer HistoryFolder.

In Tools>Internet Options>General Tab
Under Browsing History click on Settings
At the bottom of the window is the option of how long to save the list before deletion
