I'm having a problem since last week where outlook does not update new incoming emails . I receive them on my blackberry however they do not appear on my desktop screen. The bottom of the out look screen states this folder was last updated at 1:30. this does not update on its own. IT has reviewed the problem and suggests it is a virus. scans have been run but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

What happens if you manually select send/recieve mail?

Nothing. I have to click on the drop down menu, this folder (microsoft exchange server) for the email to show up on the in box. The IT guy said he hase to redo the entire computer. Erase everything and reload.

I take it that this is a business computer. Given that, the IT department likely has certain policies in place regarding these situations, and it would be best to adhere to those policies. Please consult with your IT department about backing up any files prior to reinstallation.
