win 32 eror

At start I get the warning “ the exception unknown software exeption (oxoooo409) ocured in the application at location ox14a12aea I select ok and the pc continues to start up
The following warning pops up “generic host process for win 32 services encountered a problem and needs to close”
A second one pops up “generic host process for win 32 services encountered a problem and needs to close. We sorry for the inconvenience”
I am using XP pro with service pack 3
I have tried to use Regcure to no avail and Acslogics .

I suggest you check Event Viewer for possibly more clues...that error message doesn't yield a lot via Google.
