Because my laptop was running very slowly, I checked the space only to find that of 31.1GB, only 3.0 freespace was avialable. Hard to believe since we do not have many programs installed. I defragged, cleaned the disk, and removed some stuff and ended up with 19GB of the 31 free. I feel very good. Do I need the file Mediactr.exe? What is it for?

Using the tab up at the top of the page, labeled Startup List I found this entry: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/K...enter-2399.html for that .exe

I do not use multimedia and the process in much too complicated for me. I guess I'll just leave it alone. Thanks for your reply, Animal.
