I'm running Vista Premium with UAC turned off. When trying to convert any file on my main Hdd partition with Winavi 8 I get the message 'can not open' the file. If I move the file to desktop or any of my 2 ext. hdd's it works perfectly everytime.

If I try to convert an audio file with Total Audio Converter, it works no matter where the file is located.

I have checked the 'permission' for both programs, they are identical.
I have checked the 'permission' for both folders on my partition, they are identical.
I have checked the 'permission' for my partition + 2 ext. hdd's. they are identical.

Winavi have been contacted re this issue but have not got an answer yet.

I re installed a clean copy of Winavi 8 but it was still as before.
