Anyone use the program Sandboxie???

What are your thoughts and opinions?

Sounds like it might be a good program but want more info/input from someone that has used/experienced it.

Don't know if this is the proper forum, if not, mods please feel free to move it.

Thanks

Hi jimnor46,

I've been using Sandboxie for six months now and wouldn't be without it. Best advice I can give is spend a lot of time on the Sandboxie website to learn the basics. There's a lot of well explained tutorials there, click Sandboxie icon in my sig. for link. The SB Forums are also a good place to learn more.

Although SB is quite configurable, it provides excellent protection right out of the box, so to speak.

Quick question. Just got a response on another website that I visit and the responder said that SB wouldn't work with Vista x64, do you know if that's correct? I didn't see any system requirements on the website where I saw SB advertised.

Thanks for the reply.

Hello,
Sandboxie is incompatible with all 64bit OS's. See here. Sorry.

Bummer.

Just my luck.

Looked like it might have been a pretty neat program.

Oh well.

Thanks for the response.

An excellent product in my opinion. I use it on all my Windows 32 bit machines.

Not that I have noticed.

I have it running on all of my computers that have a Windows OS (~ 6). Always run my browser Sandboxed......except of course on my Linux computers where it is unnecessary.
