I am a home computer user who is looking to improve my computer management skills. I first logged on to the internet in
1978 in Indianapolis when it was still just a few computers at universities. I did this as part of a forward-thinking graphic design conference proposal project. I had to illustrate an example of a computer generated design. The only thing available was a simple program that created abstract forms similar to spiral graph children's toys. My project's purpose was to inform graphic design professionals about how the world of graphic design would be completely transformed by the use of computers within the next ten years. It focused on demonstrating how easily graphics could be created with the right software and with ease of use hardware. At the time my instructors thought I was engaging in wishful thinking. How things have changed.
