Extremely slow startup! Need help

I know you've heard this a thousand times but my xp is extremely slow to startup. I ran virus and spyware scans and fixed whatever was found, there wasn't much though. I've read through other posts similar to mine but don't want to do something wrong to my system. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I caught that thread after I posted so I'm in the process of doing that now. However, during the past few days I've done most of the steps already..but I'm doing them again anyway.
