Hi,

Thank you for helping! I have a problem with random freezes, generally i keep my PC in gd health and would describe myself as an intermediate pc user.

The freezes seem to leave 2 errors in my Event Viewer - Application Log these are : -

VSS - Event Id - 8193

Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x80040206.

Event System - Event ID - 4609

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 80070422 from line 44 of d:\comxp_sp3\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

I tried googling but got a lot of not very helpful results

Any advice would be appreciated.

Might apply, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916254

To be honest...I see nothing that looks like an answer I would use on my systems.
