Hello...

My Word 2007 has started to have ~2-second delays (with hourglass showing) anytime the following occurs:

-- opening a document
-- closing a document
-- switching between documents within Word
-- switching from any non-Word window into a Word document

The latter two are particularly annoying, since it really slows down copying and pasting between documents or between documents and other apps.

I tried locating a replacing the Normal.dotm file in \Application Data\Microsoft\Templates directory of my documents and settings directory with one from another machine that does not exhibit this behavior, but that did not seem to work.

Perhaps, there are other instances of Normal.dotm that are confusing Word?

Help would be appreciated.

I have scanned my entire Documents and Settings directory with updated Malwarbytes, and nothing show up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Steve
