Hello all,

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Recently my computer contracted a virus, here are the symptoms:

1. Kaspersky 2009 vanished (trojan did it?), when I try to re-install, I get a blue screen of death. (had to install Norton 360)

2. Internet searches redirect to all kinds of unwanted ads.

3. When I try to download different anti-malware software, the computer shuts down.

4. Frustration, sadness, bewilderment, etc...

I finally managed to get Hijackthis up and running - Any kind soul who knows how to interpret Hijackthis, you are my only hope!

Thanks again,

Gabe
