Hi iamchris and Welcome!

Can you locate svchos1at.exe and C:\WINDOWS\timer.exe

If located,Right Click the Desktop and Select "New">> "Compressed(Zipped)Folder"

Place a Copy of each file in that folder and email it here>> filesubmit@charter.net

We need to get HijackThis into a Permanent folder!

To do this>"Right Click" the Desktop>Select "New">Select "Folder">Name it whatever you like!

Now locate the original Zip file for HijackThis and place it in the new folder!

Unzip and "Extract All Files"

Download Ewido Security Suite, install then from within the program check for updates BUT dont scan yet
Ewido Security Suite:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu". When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK.
We will fix this in a moment.

From the main Ewido screen, Click on Update in the left menu, then click the Start Update button.

After the Update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful"), Now close the program.

If you have problems updating see here
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/

Make sure AVG is current on Updates!

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)
Here is a link on how to boot into Safe Mode:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...src=sec_doc_nam

After restarting in Safe Mode,Configure Windows to Show All Hidden Files and Folders, this must be done after restarting in Safe Mode!!

Here is a link to help with that
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/ind...showtutorial=62

Be sure to follow the directions that apply to your Operating System!

Right Click the TaskBar and Select Task Manager>> Click Processes>> Look for

timer.exe<< Click once and Select End Process

Locate and Delete

C:\WINDOWS\timer.exe<< File

Now Open Ewido and AVG but dont run them or Minimize them!

Go back to the Task Manager>> Processes>> Locate Explorer.exe>> End Process

When you drop the Explorer process, the Desktop and TaskBar will disappear, dont panic this is Normal!

Scan with Ewido>when prompted>Select to clean and place a check by the box to use this action for all infections!

Once it completes,Click the tab to Save the report and Save it to your Desktop for easy access!

Scan with AVG,Delete(Not Heal) all items found!

Once the Scan is Done,in the Task Manager>> Click File>> New Task(Run...)

Type or Copy&Paste C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE into the Open Box and Click OK!

Open HijackThis and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet!

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Communicator] C:\WINDOWS\timer.exe /i

O4 - Startup: PowerReg SchedulerV2.exe

O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/064dac5f81262d...ip/RdxIE601.cab

O16 - DPF: {6F750200-1362-4815-A476-88533DE61D0C} (Ofoto Upload Manager Class) - http://www.ofoto.co.uk/downloads/BUM/BUM_W..._1/axofupld.cab

Now Make sure ALL WINDOWS and BROWSERS are CLOSED and hit the Fix Checked Button!!

Try to keep track of what it found or see if there is an option to Save a Report of what happened during the Scan!

Run MSCONFIG and enable everything in the startup area. To get to MSCONFIG, click on Start -> Run -> type in MSCONFIG -> click OK!

Under the "General" Tab
Make Sure Normal Startup is Checked!!

Click Apply>>Close>>Follow the Prompts to Restart!!

Restart Normal and have the PC Scanned here
Panda Active Scan

You will need to be using Internet Explorer for the Scan to work!

Save the Report it generates!

Download Pfind:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/pfind.php

Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"

So make sure all those files remain in the same folder.

Doubleclick pfind.bat
It will scan for a while, so please be patient.

Wait till the doswindow closes.

Post the contents of C:\pfind.txt in your next reply along with the reports from Panda>> Ewido and a fresh HijackThis log
