Hi, I've searched a lot for the following problem and can't find anyone else who has reported it. I understand that Viewpoint's software generally isn't considered spyware, malware, etc, but I think I have a new issue.

When I open IE8 (I'm using XP Pro), my Comodo firewall notifies me that Viewpoint mgr is trying to access the internet. If I block it, IE opens with an error page. The only way I can hit the internet is if I allow VP mgr access.

I don't really know of any changes I've made which could have caused this. I have had Acrobat Pro 6 installed for several years. I don't use AOL or any IM programs. I installed a trial version of NERO 6 several weeks ago, but I don't recall this issue starting with that install.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Viewpoint player is considered Foistware because it is installed without user consent but isn't actually malware.

I recommend you uninstall it.
