Hi,
I have been working with OT on a tojan problem which thankfully after great advice has now been removed.

:flowers:
I am still having a problem when windows starts up, get a box saying Windows Installer is trying to install a "scan" if you let it run it says I need a cd to complete installation, you can't cancel this application can only be stopped using Task Manager. Also start up is very very slow, are too many applications running on startup?

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks

are too many applications running on startup?

Go to Start>Run and type in msconfig and look at the Startup tab. Take the names you find there (the ones with the checkmarks are the ones that run when you boot) and enter them in the Startup Database found at the top of this page. If you are unsure of whether to uncheck one or more then post back with the program name and we'll try to help you out.
