I am stumped.
I have no internet access. Here is what I have tried:
-connecting to multiple secured and unsecured WLANs
-connecting the computer via ethernet to a known working connection
-connecting to said WLANs and LANs through another computer and finding them to be working
-refresh IP address with ipconfig /release and /renew
-tracert and ping commands WILL return successfully, and at regular speed
-I have tried connecting to the internet through 3 browsers (IE, Firefox, and Safari), none work
I have isolated the problem to the computer, but everything seems to be configured properly. I have done a system restore to one week prior to the start of the problem when I could still connect, this did not work either. All drivers are updated.
I am out of ideas...

i wouldn't think a proxy would be the problem since you tried 3 different browsers......what about personal firewall software, ie zone alarm.....something must be blocking internet traffic......

yeah i am sure its some stupid software thing somewhere, but I cant find it! it works fine in safe mode, but even when I kill all the processes not necessary in regular mode it still wont work. sometimes it will load a page and then die, sometimes it wont load anything at all.
