Occationaly I get "Page cannot be displayed". The reason being it says is because I am Offline. I go to tools and Work Offline is checked. I uncheck it and the check is replaced by a red "x". How do I get rid of the red "x"? I can still work Online in most cases but just on certain sites it won't open.

Maybe I don't understand fully, but perhaps the reason that you can't access some webpages is because you are offline? When you say work offline, it means that it just stores pages that you have visited in the temp files, and accesses those files when you're offline.
