When i turn on my computer it comes to a black screen saying load error, press any key to reboot. When i do that it keeps saying the same thing over and don't do anything. I have tried both the system recovery disk and the application recovery disk and it still does the same. How can i get it to stop doing this and fix it?

Windows 98 Start-Up

Try booting into safemode by pressing 'F8' on start-up. When in safemode click Start>Run and type in - sfc /scannow - and/or - chkdsk/f

Insert the 98 disk and see if it finds anything.

Unhook unnecessary devices (i.e. everything) and try booting again.
