I downloaded this article, but my PC says I can't open it because a "Dialog box" is open....what is a Dialog box, and how do I shut it off I use AOL and have windows 2000

HI Linda, and welcome to BC. As you may have noticed, this section is only for introductions, and not the proper place to list your problems, so I will be happy to move it to the proper location for you.

What article did you download? A dialog box is merely a small window that open in the middle of your screen when you do any number of things, such as installing software, or confirming decisions. One way to check and see if there are windows open that you can't see is to look at your task bar and see if there is anything there.
