My computer has been infected in the past with malware. Tried many times to clean it. Recently the monitor would flash uncontrolably, I upsated the drivers and it works fine now. However randomly during working on the computer the mouse will freeze. Once I restart the computer it will work again. What could I do its not the mouse I tried a different one.

Have you looked in the Event Viewer for any clues?

Are you sure you are free of malware?
