acer problems laptop

i have a acer 3000 that keep locking up and freezing i removed the main battrie and it works fine but now it keeps reverting to 2005 date and i have to press f1 and entre on the safe mode menu to start

You need to replace the system board battery
It is a small coin-sized battery either underneath the keyboard, or behind one of the access panels on the bottom of the laptop
