Hi,

Hoping someone can give me some advice on this issue. I have an HP Color LaserJet 2840 that I hook up to my Dell laptop via USB. I was updating the firmware which I downloaded from the website and all apeared fine when it got stuck and now it just says "Hewlett Packard" on the printer LCD. I tried updating the firmware again, no such luck. Turned it off then on with no such luck.

I have a feeling this is going to have to go to a printer repair shop and have the original firmware reinstalled. I have emailed HP but they have yet to respond.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Problem solved.

I found the following email site: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/54039 which had a great fix. Basically it said to reset the NVRAM Ram (Enter and * while powering on the printer). This enables it to boot but resets it to the factory settings. It worked and I was able to print.

Regards,
Ashley
