Hi every1

I'am a new member to this forum, and have found it very useful. It has introduced me to MVPS Host file, which has helped in adding another layer of security while i browse the internet.

I have recently, found out about OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/), and was wondering whether it would cause any compatibility issues with Host file. Because i had to disable my DNS cache, according to the topics about MVPS Host file. Does OpenDNS work the same way DNScache? Because i heard that the way OpenDNS works is that it prevents u from entering any nasty sites, mayb similar to the way Host file works?

Anyway, it does seem like another good layer of protection to add, but unfortunately i know very little about how OpenDNS works (and MVPS Host file for that matter) to truly determine the pros and cons of getting it. Sorry for being a computer noob...........

Would love to hear ur guys' opinion though.....................
