I have a question about SMARTDrive.

How long would the installation of Windows XP take without having it active?

The reason I haven't got it active is because after following the guides all around the internet, the files it says to edit ain't present.

The harddrive I'm installing it on has been formatted and a 4GB partition (D) has been made that's got Windows XP Setup on there to install onto the other 36GB (empty) partition © and I'm having to run with Windows 98 Boot Up DOS thingy and running WINNT in the D:\WINXP\I386 folder.
